I like what G. Carlin said " If you want to protest, do what buddhis monks did in Viet Nam, set your themself on fire---- they knew how to stage a f---ing protest" Well, when I was in N.Y. bethel we had apostates yell and scream at us all day long. No one cared, in fact it made us feel better, we were Gods people, we loved persucuation. You want to get some attendtion, don't say a word, set in front of the 124 building, and set yourself on fire. If 20 people did that, you would get their attendtion--------and the worlds too. One a week for 20 weeks at 11:45 on fridays, as they are all walking to lunch--------any volunteers? I would be first to go but my doctor says I can't leave the house, its bad for my health!

A suggestion for discrediting the Society
by RunningMan inin this forum, we often wonder what we can do to make the society look bad.
we come up with ideas like picketing assemblies, mail campaigns, legal action, and many others.
although these ideas are laudable and i would not want to discourage anyone, they sometimes create sympathy for the witnesses, and make us look bitter and fanatical.

What Is Your Hope Now???
by YYHWH inmy hope for over 30 years was the same as many here on this site.
when i made my decesion to no longer me a jw at first i just figured that i was a goat and that i would just die at armageddon along with all the other wicked ones.
well after doing some research on the dubs and on religion in general i have come to some differnt conclusions about life,death and what might happen when you die.. i have to be honest and tell you that it has been difficult to accept the fact that any hope of any sort of life after death is very unfounded.. i have come to believe that religion is for people who cannot accept the only certainty we have in this life is that you are going to die.. my hope is that i can live this life and be able to raise my children up to be responsible and productive adults.

About Dan Sydlik...
by Patriot ini was talking to one of my brother-in-laws about his time in bethel.
he put in about 5 years.. anyway, i mentioned the post about lyman calling the new black brother "nigger", and he also said that it did not surprise him.. but what i found even funnier was the experience he had with dan.

Over a 100 years ago there lived a poor mexican Pedro. One day his son left the the barn door open, his only horse {his chief sourse of income} got out. Everyone said "poor Pedro you are in big trouble now!" Pedro said "could be good, could be bad!" everyone thought Pedro was an idiot. Five days later, the horse came back, with five wild stallions, everyone said "this is great your rich" Pedro said "could be good, could be bad". everyone again thought Pedro was an idiot. Five days later, his son was in the corral, braking in one of the horses, it was then the horse broke his sons leg. Again everyone said "this is the worst possible thing!" Again Pedro said "could be good, could be bad"---Yes you know what they thought. Five days later the Mexican army came into your village to take all the young men to war. The battle in which they fought most of all the young men died!--------------So there are things in your life NOW, you KNOW are bad, and there are things NOW, you BLESS as good, but really its only in time that we truly can see what was GOOD & BAD in our lives. We can bless the good an bad for it is all good.
